Over the last few years RUSSELL GILBROOK has been establishing himself on the UK clinic tour scene and impressing many with his unique brand of performing and teaching.  He has supported artists such as Greg Bissonette and completed a tour with Liberty Devito. Russell continually strives to push himself musically and has played in a remarkably diverse set of situations.  He has worked with the respected jazz artist Chris Barber and his band, Alan Price, as well as the heavier projects including Rockzilla, Expos鬠and of course filling the stool of the late great Cozy Powell in Bedlam (where he played with brothers Dave and Denny Ball, plus singer Frank Aiello).  Russell has also played with ex-Camel keyboard player Pete Bardens. His band The Gods (Generators Of Distorted Sound) have completed their debut album in the USA and will be lining up for Ozzfest next year.  Russell is also working on Tony Iommi's next album.  His softer side is further demonstrated on work with Lonnie Donnigan, John Farnham and even the legendary Van Morrison. Not content with just playing, Russell teaches on the "Musicians" channel on Sky and holds a position at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music; he has also published several teaching guides.  Russell is regarded as one of the UK's finest drummers and clinician's and has demonstrated specialist drum clinics all over Europe. RUSSELL GILBROOK’S debut live show with Uriah Heep will be at the Katinkulta Festival in Finland on April 14th 2007.
